What to expect
The first visit is mainly used for a comprehensive assessment, which takes about 1 hour.

You will be asked questions about your medical history and about the area with which you are experiencing problems or pain.

You will receive a physical examination to test the involved areas. Shorts or appropriate clothing will be provided where necessary.

A discussion will follow about the findings and suggested treatment plan.

Treatment will be commenced for the remainder of the time and most patients require a follow up appointment.

If the problem is not very complex and only requires a simple assessment, a full treatment will be given on the first visit as well.

Follow up visits usually take between 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the condition treated.

The frequency and number of visits will depend on how your body responds to the therapy, as well as on the condition treated.
